Richard Wigmore is a distinguished music writer, broadcaster and lecturer. He read French and German at Cambridge and later studied music at the Guildhall School of Music where now, as professor, he gives classes in Lied interpretation. He writes for The Daily Telegraph, BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone and broadcasts on the BBC’s Radio 3 and World Service. His publications include Schubert: The Complete Song Texts and chapters and articles in many reference works, including The New Grove Dictionary and The Faber Pocket Guide to Haydn.

He has worked closely with Daniel Tong on several Unravelled projects.
