2013 Emerging Talent and Creative Learning Programme

1 Creative Learning Concert

Friday 26 April, 5.30pm

Members of the London Bridge Ensemble and children from St Bede’s Primary School and Oliver’s Battery Primary School led by the Festival’s brilliant project leaders Sam Glazer and Jack Ross, perform in this interactive concert designed to showcase the Festival’s creative learning work. The programme will include extracts from festival repertoire, performed alongside world premieres created by the participants and inspired by this repertoire.

2 firefly burning

Alt-folk quintet ‘firefly burning’ bring their unique blend of piano, strings, gamelan, guitar and stunning vocals to this late-night festival gig, performing songs rich with close vocal harmonies, infectious rhythms and delicate atmospheric textures.

3 Masterclass

Members of the London Bridge Ensemble give a masterclass to The Hampshire String Quartet, who appear with the support of Hampshire Music Services, and a final-year ensemble from Southampton University. Audiences can drop in and out as they like at any point during the session.
