Programme
“In all the years I’ve lived here, this has been one of the outstanding musical ventures, given by a group of very brilliant and distinguished artists. I relished the chance of hearing their different programmes and individual skills”.
Denise Critchley, audience member
We are delighted to present our third Festival of chamber music and song, as ever featuring masterpieces of the repertoire alongside less familiar but equally rewarding compositions. Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann rub shoulders with Bartók and Martinů and there’s a Romantic string quartet by Bridge, from whom the Ensemble takes its name.
As well as concerts at the Discovery Centre, there’s a late evening concert at the lovely St Lawrence Church, an exhibition, an event for families, work with schools and a masterclass featuring some budding young performers. So all in all, there’s more than ever to entice and inspire you!
Finishing times of concerts are approximate.
